Belichick Yelling “No Days Off” At Patriots Players Walking Through A Blizzard Is Laugh Out Loud Funny
It was one year ago tomorrow that a bomb cyclone came in and shut down most of New England. Well almost all of New England. Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker declared a state of emergency but that didn’t stop the Patriots from practicing during a bye week while they awaited their eventual opponent for the divisional round of the playoffs. The Patriots were all on time for practice after head coach Bill Belichick made it very clear that any players that were late, would face consequences. Matthew Slater, who has been around long enough to know better told reporters that is would have been unwise to take any chances. Belichick’s no nonsense approach is exactly what it takes to move on in the playoffs and although they didn’t reach their ultimate goal last season you can be sure the same ideology remains.
Slater on #Patriots working Thurs knowing blizzard forecast:
“You certainly better leave yourself enough time to get here on time tomorrow. We all know the weather. Coach has mentioned that several times to the team. So, I wouldn’t want to be the guy that’s late tomorrow.” #WBZ pic.twitter.com/lUcpqfEuyV— Dan Roche (@RochieWBZ) January 3, 2018
The Patriots going out there in the brutal storm was entertaining enough and then someone one made a clip of Belichick yelling “No days off” to the team as they marched through the snow in true classic Hoodie form. It was clearly dubbed from his victory speech during the Super Bowl but it probably wasn’t too far from the truth.
