Bailey Zappe Is Expected To Start Sunday After Hoyer Was Placed On IR

The New England Patriots have placed Brian Hoyer on IR. He will miss at least the next 4-games. Zappe is now the full-time backup, and the likely starter this week. Mac Jones is getting closer to playing and has not officially been ruled out yet on Sunday, but is still limited in practice.

If Mac Jones is unable to go it would be the first career start for the rookie.
