Aaron Judge Suffered A Chip Fracture

Bad news for Yankees slugger Aaron Judge. The Yankees announced after tonight’s game that an MRI revealed a chip fracture in Aaron Judge’s right wrist specifically, in the ulnar styloid bone. He’ll head to the disabled list and miss an estimated three weeks, though he won’t require surgery. Judge sustained the injury when he was hit on the wrist by an errant fastball from Royals righty Jakob Junis.

The Yankees are 4.5 games behind the Red Sox for first place in the AL East and this is terrible news for chances of making up some ground in that race soon and are hoping for a speedy recovery from Judge just two days after starting catcher Gary Sanchez hit the DL as well.
