Video: Cam Newton And Julian Edelman Got Their First Workout In

It is starting to feel real now for Patriots fans. Cam Newton and Julian Edelman finally got a chance to hook up Wednesday morning, as Cam Newton showed in his latest Instagram post. Newton is getting familiar with his new No. 1 receiver. Newton has had a chance to work with many of his new teammates prior to camp. The video shows Newton throwing a corner pass to Edelman, who said “great ball” upon making the catch.

Both Newton and Edelman are in much different situations than they are used to. Newton has been extremely vocal about what he is looking to accomplish this season after signing a prove it deal with the Patriots.

Julian Edelman will be looking to prove that he is an elite receiver , and worthy of Hall of Fame consideration if he can continue his level of play without Tom Brady. According to Mike Giardi of the NFL Network,

“Julian is Julian. He hates excuses. He hates to lose. He’s already got the red ass about this season. People thinking we’re no good and that he’s just a product of Brady.”
