It didn’t take Bruins rookie Trent Frederick more than one game to become a crowd favorite of Bruins fans. The rookie absolutely destroyed Winnepeg Jets forward Brandon Tanev in a fight. And to top it off he had his number one fans in his corner.
NESN cameras caught Bob and Gaye Frederic high-fiving each other after their son, Trent, rocked Tanev during his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
Tanev, challenged Frederic as he pulled him away from Jets defenseman Tyler Myers during the second period. And Frederic obliged. The fight didn’t last long. After they broke free, Tanev swung and missed a few punches. Frederic on the other hand did not miss often as he was dropping bombs on Tanev, igniting the Bruins fans into a frenzy. Luckily for him he has better accuracy than his parents who coincidentally missed a high-five while celebrating in the stands.
