Former Patriots great Tedy Bruschi and ESPN analyst Tedy Bruschi suffered a stroke on Thursday and is in stable condition.
The Bruschi family issued the following statement regarding his medical condition: “Yesterday afternoon, Tedy had a stroke, known as TIA. He recognized his warning signs immediately: arm weakness, face dropping, and speech difficulties. Tedy is recovering well, and would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Sturdy Memorial Hospital for all they have done. Tedy and his family thank you for your ongoing encouragement, and kindly ask for your privacy at this time.
Tedy is one of the most beloved athletes in Boston sports history and all of New England is pulling for him right now. Our thought and prayers are with Tedy and his family at this time.
