If Red Sox fans didn’t love Boston’s own Katie Nolan already, her latest stunt is guaranteed to win their hearts. A few years ago after David Ortiz retired, Katie Nolan was looking for the perfect gift to give him. In Big Papi’s honor, Garbage Time’s Katie Nolan contemplated what to get the man who has pretty much everything.
Her plan? Adopt a bench in Central Park for the Boston hero, to honor his legacy and annoy the hell out of Yankees fans as they passed by. The $10,000 fundraiser has been finally completed and the Big Papi bench is now in Central Park in all it’s glory.

Remember when the Yankees jackhammered through concrete to remove a David Ortiz jersey which was buried beneath Yankee Stadium?
