Ian Rapaport Expects Rob Gronkowski To Play This Season

Finally some good news from a solid source surrounding Gronk’s future. According to Ian Rapaport there is no reason to believe Rob Gronkowski will hanging up his cleats this year. What has been an ongoing battle of mixed messages from Gronk may be pure posturing for a few things to go his way. According to Rapoport, Gronkowski did “ponder” retirement and took “several weeks off” after the Super Bowl to “let loose” and think about his future. While WWE and Hollywood are very real future endeavors for Gronkowski, the belief is those entertainment opportunities will still be there for Gronk whenever he does decide to call it a career with football. For now, it looks as if Gronkowski will be back in 2018. Rapoport says there may be no “grand announcement.”
