Brad Marchand: Game-Time Decision Tonight

The Boston Bruins are in Carolina to face the struggling Hurricanes tonight and may get their star LW back on the ice and to provide a giant boast to the lineup. Brad Marchand missed Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Chicago with what the Bruins announced as a upper body injury.

Coach Cassidy said today that Marchand will be a game-time decision, but it sounds more like he’s ready to go. Marchand stated, “I felt a little better today. If we had played yesterday I wouldn’t have been able to play but I feel better today so I’m happy with the progress.”

Marchand was hurt last Saturday on an unfortunate collision with Chicago’s Anthony Duclair who sufferred a tough knee injury. Fortunately for the B’s their star LW will not face league discipline (for a change). The B’s will get a lift to the lineup as well with David Backes returning from his three game suspension.
