Boston Bruins Have Traded For Taylor Hall The 2018 NHL MVP Hart Trophy Winner

The Boston Bruins grabbed the biggest prize available at the trade deadline. The Bruins have agreed to a trade with the Buffalo Sabres for forwards Taylor Hall, and Curtis Lazar. The Bruins are sending Anders Bjork along with a 2nd round pick to Buffalo. The Bruins were busy tonight, also acquiring defenseman Mike Reilly from the Ottawa Senators for a 3rd round pick in 2022.

Hall, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, had been a disappointment in Buffalo. Hall was expected to take Buffalo to the next level, but only came up with 2 goals and 17 assists in 37 games this season.

Perhaps Hart will find success in new surroundings. Hall won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league MVP only a few years ago in 2018 when he had 39 goals and 54 assists.

Hall will need to find a new number though, because #4 has a place in the rafters for all eternity in Boston.
