Bill Belichick Fires Shots At The Media After Being Questioned About Antonio Brown Signing

Bill Belichick was not willing to talk about Antonio Brown before he was signed but now the floodgates are open. The aggressive media has their doubts if Bill Belichick will be able to work with Antonio Brown but he was quick to fire back.

Belichick was asked what makes him think Antonio Brown won’t cause any distractions in New England

“I wasn’t in either of those places, so I can’t really comment on what did or didn’t happen there,” Belichick said.

After a follow up question Belichick was quick to compare Brown’s situation to when they signed Randy Moss.

“Same thing you you guys said about Randy Moss when we brought him in,”

This isn’t the first time Belichick has brought in a player that had questionable character. It has worked out well in the past for the Patriots. Belichick is so well respected among the players that they seem to fall in line when they come to play here.

There were as many questions surrounding Randy Moss when he came to New England. He eventually wore out his welcome, but not before he had a record breaking season with 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2007.

Belichick has not committed to starting Brown on Sunday yet.

“We’ll just take it day-by-day,” Belichick said. “We haven’t practiced yet. We’re going through information with him like we do with any new player like we did with the offensive linemen last week. We’ll take it day-by-day and see how it goes. Get out on the practice field and after Wednesday talk about Thursday and go through the week. We’ll see how it goes.”

He added: “We think he’ll help our team. Until we start working with him, part of that is actually having a hands-on opportunity to work with a player and see exactly how everything fits together and what we can develop. We’ll just see how that goes.”
